When we choose a belt conveyor, we must first determine many factors such as the material of the conveyor belt, the technical parameters of the bandwidth, etc. according to the industry in which it is applied. For example, the rubber belt is suitable for the working environment temperature between 15 degrees and 40 degrees, and the material temperature does not exceed 50 degrees. Plastic belts have the advantages of being resistant to oil, acid and alkali, but have poor adaptability to climate, and are easy to slip and age. Secondly, we need to correctly select the belt speed of the belt conveyor. In a long horizontal conveyor, a higher belt speed should be preferred; the greater the inclination of the conveyor, the shorter the conveying distance of the fuselage, the lower the speed of the conveyor belt.

When the conveyor belt of the belt conveyor is wider, the conveying capacity will be larger, and a higher belt speed should be selected; materials that are easy to roll, large in size, strong in grinding, easy to dust and require high environmental hygiene conditions are very suitable for selection. Low belt speed; when using a dump truck, the speed of the conveyor belt of the belt conveyor is generally not suitable to exceed 2.5 meters per second. When conveying finely crushed materials or small pieces of material, the speed of the conveyor belt of the belt conveyor is allowed to reach 3.12 meters per second. When it is used for feeding or conveying materials with the largest amount of dust, the speed of the conveyor belt of the belt conveyor can be 0.81 meters per second, and it can also be determined according to the characteristics and process requirements of the conveyed materials.
